August 21st rings a bell..........

Nine years ago today, Larry proposed to me. We often tell or, I should say, I often tell the story to my friends and family over and over, because truly, it is one of my most cherished memories. I’ll spare everyone the details here, but I just want to say; Larry, nine years ago today, after less then 3 months of dating, you asked me to be your wife. I must admit, 2 thoughts flashed through my head; the 1st, “Is he crazy?”, and the 2nd, thank God was, “Yes”. So dear husband thank you for the most memorable, romantic proposal. I can’t wait to tell Norah, about our weekend in San Diego, The Hotel Del Coronado on the beach at sunset, the dress you bought me, and the most gorgeous diamond ring which will never leave my finger-until one day, it will be Norah’s.

All is well here, I miss everyone like crazy! Pa-Pa will be back in 3 days!!!! I have the official medical review and full tour of the baby house tomorrow. I wish Larry could be here for this, but unfortunately, our interpreter Olesya will be on vacation the next 2 weeks and she wants to have the meeting prior to her departure. I’ll be sure to take careful notes and asked lots of questions. Love to all, Christy & Norah

Hello MaMa,

Thank you for the phone call this morning and for the very special words posted in the blog.

You are always right I am crazy and it was a very special time in our life that we will both cherish forever. As we have said many times before Norah entering our life is a moment words can't explain. I am so very lucky to have both of you and our families and friends.

I am working in Lancaster today Adam is having a food show for the residents. I will call you tonight 9pm to chat before you leave early to the baby house. I am excited and anxious to hear about the medical review I am sorry I will miss being with you for that. The tour of the baby house was something I wanted to see especially the kitchen.

Wednesday I will be a couple hours away working and then Wednesday night I am going to try to wrap up the packing, errands and things. I do have a few goodies for Norah and toys to share with all her baby friends in her group. I will somehow pack in the treats for the caregivers and Nelly.

Thursday I will work at home and close things up. Jake is kind enough to take me to the airport for my flight Thursday night. I arrive in Frankfurt Friday at 6:30am and do not depart out until 10:30pm so with a 16 hour lay over I pray to get a hotel room and sleep and or rest, get showered and head back to the airport for dinner, people watching (fun in Germany)and a few laps around the airport. This will be the first time I have a direct flight from Frankfurt to Kostanai so I am flying different airlines so I will have my luggage with me for the layover and will have to figure out where to check the luggage back in. Once we depart Friday evening we fly direct to Kostanai and arrive at 7:20am Saturday so I can't wait to see you and see Norah that morning!

Does MaMa want anything special brought back?

With special love to the two of you!

Hello Christy and Norah,

When you mentioned falling in love and Larry proposing in less than 3 months my thought was and now they have both fallen in love with Norah in less time than that! Looks like you both know someone very, very special when you first meet them! Christy, how glad your family is that the three of you have each other.

I had a good visit with Allyson last night. She seems to be doing well in Pa but misses her Aunt Christy. She sure enjoyed her time with Taylor,Logan,Jennifer and Mike last week.

Larry,we wish you a safe trip back to your girls. Will you be able to get the direct flight back to Germany when you and Christy return?

Uncle John is ready to do errands so I'll be in touch later today.

Our love to you and Norah,
Aunt Sandy

p.s. I can see mat's beautiful smile thinkng of having Papa back
in just a few days.

Happy Anniversary of your proposal and engagement - Wow a lot sure has happened in the last 9 years! Sometimes it seems like long ago, and other times like it was yesterday...

Sounds like Larry is even more anxious to be reunited with his "girls." Can only imagine how good those first hugs will feel for all of you!

I now know that I am officially on vacation, this morning I wasn't sure what day it was; I finally figured it out by thinking of how many times we have eaten dinner since we got here! Lots of sun, swimming, and eating going on - couldn't ask for better weather or food. Last night we ate at a Brazilian steak house; we were served 15 varieties of meat by gouchos (men walking around with skewers of meat and slicing it fresh at tableside)this was of course fun and delicious! They even brought over a skewer of chicken nuggets for the kids.

Wanted to let you know that the
Crocs are working out great, the kids have worn them to the beach/pool every day! Taylor of course has to spend some time deciding what footwear to choose for the day. She really is turning into a girly girl. Every store we go into she wants to look at all of the trendy things - clothes, shoes, jewelry, makeup etc. It seems the more shiny or colorful something is the more she likes it!! She is also very interested in the shopping as she likes browsing - poor Mike and Logan, good thing they are patient with us!

Please give Norah hugs and kisses and let her know how many people love her already!

XOXO
