Happy Labor Day!

Happy Labor Day! Hope everyone is enjoying the Labor Day festivities. We are just dreaming & drooling over thoughts of all the BBQ’s that must be going on without us! We’re all doing fine-just wanted to add a few more pictures. Thanks for all the great comments! Hi Brittany, I’m so glad you & Victor are able to follow the Blog. You’re friends seem to be in full agreement with Larry & I, Norah is one of the most beautiful babies we have ever seen-she takes right after all of her gorgeous cousins!
Love to all-please eat a cheeseburger & hot dog for us-oh, and Pam-have another S’more in our honor-what a great idea, a S’more party! -Christy, Larry & Norah

Hi Christy,Larry and Norah,

Happy Labor Day back to you! Let's plan a Fall family picnic with Hoffman hotdogs and burgers with all the fixings. Spaghetti salad too? What else? Have the people of Kazakhstan celebrated any national holidays since you've been there?

Great pictures again today. I certainly agree with Brittany and Victor that Norah is beautiful. She joins our very special group of beautiful neices and handsome nephews.

It's a sunny but comfortably cool day here. I'm not certain if we are laboring or playing today.

We anxiously await your blog and new pictures each day. It's wonderful being part of your great adventure.

Love to the Abrams family,
Aunt Sandy

Happy Labor Day and last official day of summer vacation! I know I am blessed to work a school calendar, but it really is hard to imagine going back after my 5 week vacation and a more laid back July without students and staff!

My apologies for not blogging more often lately - gearing up for back to school for me, Kindergarten for Taylor and Nursery school for Loganman is certainly occupying my time! We tried to do lots of fun things and relax this weekend - swimming, playing outside, and yes we did have a barbecue beside Grandma Christman's pool yesterday! Would have loved to have had you guys with us!

Taylor has been very excited about starting Kindergarten, especially because she has some new "clip clop" shoes to wear! Tonight was the first time she mentioned feeling scared about us not staying with her in her classroom until she is ready for us to leave. I have tried really hard to prepare her for what to expect so she knows that the school has asked that we not walk students to the rooms; that we only bring them to the lobby where they will be met by an adult and taken to their room. We do visit the classroom with her during an open house tomorrow so I hope this will help her to feel more at ease when she sees where she is going....I totally get the schools reason for doing this, otherwise they may wind up with a classroom full of parents and even more upset kids, but boy was it hard not show my emotions when she expressed being scared. I know she will be alright, it is just a big transition for all of us....I keep reminding myself of something Mrs. Yacano often told me - the job of parents is to provide their children with roots and wings. I feel like we are doing this, I may just have tears in my eyes as we watch her spread those wings a little more this week. And to think, I get to go through a similar process with our "baby" as he is off to Nursery school one week from today. For all of you NHS '86 grads - Logan's teacher is going to be Ms. Hannon, yes Mary Hannon! Knowing that he is with someone we know and trust will I hope make dropping him of a little easier than with a teacher we might not know. We hear Mary is very excited about her new job and I'm sure she will be a fun teacher!
I will keep you posted and will of course take pictures of both of the kids on the front porch to share with everyone!
Please know that I check the blog daily and LOVE getting to know my niece through photos and your stories! We are all so anxious to meet her in person!
Aunt Sandy and Uncle John stopped over for a visit Saturday and of course brought some great new books for the kids! Norah will be able to count on them to be sure she has a fabulous library! I actually got a sneak preview of a book that Aunt Sandy already picked out for Norah - one that I'm sure you will all enjoy!
It was good to hear your voice yesterday, I will try to call again soon. Hope that with each day Larry is feeling better, I can't imagine how hard yet wonderful this time is for you guys.... Just remember every day gets you one step closer to being back in Chester Springs as a family! Enjoy the precious moments you are having with Norah, before you know it she will be heading off to school....

Love you lots,
ifer
XOXO

Hi Christy, Larry & Norah,
I know, I know, its been a while since I've written, but things here have been absolutely CRAZY! I made it a point to write this evening. Sarah, Tony and I have been following every entry to your blog, and I can't express into words how happy and excited we are for all of you! Sarah and I are doing a countdown until we get to see Norah. We had a "girlie day out" and purchased some adorable things for Norah. We are also counting down for the Disney trip (30 days to go!). Sarah has already made a list for Mickey and Minnie for Norah and wants to bring Norah's picture to show all her new character friends! (how sweet =) ) My prayers continue to be with you all for the days ahead. Please let me know if you need anything, or if you need anything done before you return. I'm happy to help!
Give Norah extra hugs and kisses from us! See you soon!
Ann
