Gratitude

August 10, 2007

GRATEFUL FOR

10 tiny fingers
10 tiny toes
the most beautiful eyes I have ever seen
your strong little legs
the care that you have received
the plane that brought us safely to your smile
your mouth sucking on my arm
your precious hands grasping & reaching
your Daddy…who lets me ride his coat tails so many times
family that waits at home
Aunts that love you so
Uncles that will make you laugh
Cousins that will play all day
Parents that gave us life
your Birth Mom who gave us you
Grandparents who are so excited, and more then in love with you already
all of our friends who lovingly support us
eyes that will light up and fill with tears when they see you
Daddy’s strong arms
Daddy’s laugh & sense of humor
Daddy’s warm, tight hugs
technology to reach home
the past 16 days of bliss with you each morning
~xoxo

I'm now tearful for the second day in a row after reading the blog. Norah is so lucky to have a Mommy who is truly grateful for so many things - what a wonderful lesson to start teaching her while she is so young! Norah - please know that we all feel extremely blessed to welcome you into our family!

Cousin Taylor has so many things she wants to teach you about. She had something special happen this week that she wants you to know about- the tooth fairy visited our house for the first time!! Taylor lost one of her bottom front teeth. As the tradition goes, she carefully placed the tooth in a box under her pillow. While she was sleeping the tooth fairy came and took the tooth and left money in its place! Taylor was very curious and excited about this magical visitor!

I liked seeing the picture of your friends Galen and Amy - what a special occasion for them to celebrate. I can't wait until we get the photo of you guys toasting that you are officially Norah's Mommy and Daddy! I can only imagine the emotions you will be feeling on that day - what a long journey to exactly the place you are supposed to be!

Hugs and Kisses,
Aunt Jennifer

Christy,

I'm so impressed with how well you are able to write your thoughts down. It is definitely a gift! We are so enjoying being part of your journey.

I have some exciting news. I've decided to run another marathon for Team in Training. Well actually a 1/2 marathon in Portsmouth, NH. It was Oct 1997 that we ran the marathon in Dublin. My training and fundraising starts next weekend. Wish me luck.

Love You,
Pam
