Another Wonderful Day In Kazakhstan!

Monday, July 30, 2007
Hope all is well at home. Today we had a delicious lunch of beef dumplings with onions and beef stew with mushroom, potatoes and onions-“Delish”! Most importantly, we spent the day outside with our beautiful girl. Norah was born on February 18, 2007-so she is 5 months and 12 days old. Her full name is Norah Caroline Irina Abrams. Irina is pronounced “Erina” with a rolling r. We’ve been calling her Norah-Erina or Norah-Erika which is her nick name at the baby house.

FYI: Our trip has been extended to approximately September 24th, after that we can most likely return to the US for 5 weeks then will return to bring our girl home. Larry is debating to come home at the end of this week to put in a few weeks of work. He must return by the 27th of August-for our first court hearing. I feel bad that he’ll be making 3 round trips. It’s so expensive and exhausting-but we’re not sure what else to do. I’ll be staying here; our neighbors will still be here with me so I will not be alone.
We love everyone’s postings & calls “Spa-SEE-ba” this means Thank you in Russian. Love, Christy, Larry & Norah

September 24th????? What happens after your court date on August 27 that you have to stay for? I'm glad your PA neighbors will be there with you, I bet Larry isn't too excited to leave you ladies.... Just wondering what the process is, and of course curious when we will get to see you and Norah.

Glad to hear you had some meat (other than horse meat) and potatoes!

Thanks so much for keeping up with the blog. We look forward to following your journey through the posts and photos! Stay safe!

Love ya lots,
Jennifer

Hello from the low life of the family. Tried to go to Barnes and Noble to transcribe a note to you guys in Russian so you could figure it out for Norah, but there are way too many symbols for the big dummy to do that. Guess you are stuck with the english stuff. Sounds like all is going well now. Be glad to have everyone back in the good ol USA. Larry must be going nutso about not having a cell and not being able to do work. Chill out covert Larry. It will all be there when you get back. Well give the little lady a big kiss from Uncle Jim and take care of each other.

Hi Christy, Larry and beautiful Norah (not that you two aren't lovely as well, Mom and Dad...lol)

How nice it is to be able to get on the blog and follow your wonderful journey to Norah in words and pictures as you get acquainted with your precious daughter. We enjoy logging on daily to see what is going on in your lives. It looks like things are going just as they should, Mom, Dad and daughter sharing, smiling and getting used to each other. Thank you for letting us be a part.

Know that you are in out thoughts, our prayers and our hearts daily. Love you all, Uncle Bob and Carlee

After a month spent in PA seeing Norah's new home and little bedroom ready and waiting for her as Mommy and Daddy have left it just for her. We did NY coast to coast and then Norah Caroline's Poppop and Mommom we're so exhausted we didn't leave the house for two days!!!We were so thrilled to be updated by Aunt Debbie and Uncle Jim, Aunt Jen and Aunt Sandy. Finally July 28 we first saw the face of our darling newest granddaughter Norah. Words can not describe how unspeakably beautiful she is to us!! Dad and I are overwhelmed by the love in all three of your eyes each day as we see her in your arms. We are learning slowly what a blog is -next stop computer store we don't want miss a minute of this true joy!!! What a beautiful place to begin the bonding together as the Abrams family three!! We send our love and wishes for you all as our prayers come true in front of our eyes across the world! Unbelieveable! We cry we laugh we hold one another as we send our love to you!!! Your little girl is a true gift from heaven to everyone.

Love Mom and dad to Princess&Larry

It's so awesome that you are keeping this blog. I feel like this is the most I've been able to "talk" to you in ages & it's so fun to feel like we are all experiencing this with you!!! What a fantastic idea, you Smarty Pants. Keep the pictures and posts coming, it gives me my daily choke-up-with-tears session!!
Much Love,
